General & Studio

What is Naturally Bronzed Wellness Studio?

Naturally Bronzed is a private wellness and recovery studio in Great Neck, New York. We bring together red light therapy, full-spectrum infrared sauna, molecular hydrogen, NormaTec compression, Kineon MOVE+ targeted joint therapy, vagus nerve reset sessions, hydrogen-infused water, and organic spray tanning in one calm, guided setting. Our approach is simple: educate first, help you understand your options, and make it easier to build a wellness routine that fits your goals.

Where are you located?

We are located at 200 Middle Neck Road, Great Neck, NY 11021, inside Beauty & Wellness Addict. We serve Great Neck, Manhasset, Roslyn, Port Washington, New Hyde Park, Lake Success, Little Neck, Bayside, and surrounding Long Island communities. Visit our Contact page for directions, parking details, and current studio hours.

What should I expect during my first visit?

Your first visit begins with a brief conversation about what brought you in, what you hope to get from the session, and any relevant comfort or safety considerations. We explain the equipment, show you how the session works, answer questions, and give you privacy to settle in. There is no pressure to purchase a membership. The goal is for you to leave understanding what you experienced and whether it belongs in your routine.

Which service should I start with?

The best starting point depends on your goal. Red light therapy is a versatile choice for skin health, recovery, and general wellness. Infrared sauna is often chosen for heat-based relaxation and sweating. Compression is a comfortable introduction for tired or heavy legs. Molecular hydrogen is popular with clients exploring recovery and oxidative-stress support. Spray tanning is separate from the recovery services and is selected for cosmetic color without UV exposure. Our Services overview can help you compare each option.

Can you help me choose a service?

Yes. Tell us what you are trying to accomplish, what you have tried before, how much time you have, and whether you prefer light, heat, compression, inhalation, or a hands-off relaxation experience. We can explain the differences and help you make an informed choice. We do not diagnose conditions or promise outcomes; when a health concern is involved, we may recommend speaking with your licensed healthcare professional before booking.

Do I need an appointment?

Appointments are strongly recommended because each service uses dedicated equipment and a private treatment area. Online booking is available at any time through our Book Now page. Walk-ins may be accommodated when space is available, but booking ahead gives you the best choice of times.

Do I need a membership to book?

No. Every core service is available as a single session. Memberships are optional and are designed for people who already know they want a more consistent routine. Starting with one session is often the best way to learn what you enjoy before deciding whether a membership makes sense.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please provide at least three hours notice when cancelling or changing an appointment. A late cancellation may be subject to a $15 fee because the room and equipment have been reserved for you. Use the link in your booking confirmation or call (516) 253-5143 to make a change.

Is everything beginner friendly?

Yes. Most clients begin with little or no experience. We explain how to prepare, what you may feel, how long the session lasts, and how to use the equipment safely. You are never expected to figure it out on your own, and settings can be adjusted for comfort when the service allows.

Are there any contraindications?

Our services are non-invasive, but not every modality is appropriate for every person. Please consult your licensed healthcare professional before participating if you are pregnant, have an active medical condition, use an implanted electronic device, take photosensitizing medication, have impaired heat sensation, or have been advised to avoid heat, light, compression, or inhaled gases. Tell us about relevant concerns before the session so we can help you review the service-specific guidance.

Can I combine multiple services in one visit?

Often, yes. Many clients schedule two complementary services during one visit, such as red light followed by compression, or hydrogen inhalation while using compression. The right order depends on the services, your comfort, available time, and whether you are also receiving a spray tan. Combining services does not guarantee a stronger result, so we focus on thoughtful sequencing rather than stacking as much as possible. Ask us to help plan your visit.

Organic Spray Tanning

Is your spray tan solution organic?

We use professional sunless tanning solutions selected for natural-looking color, skin feel, and even fading. “Organic” describes ingredients within the formulation; it does not mean every ingredient is certified organic. The service is UV-free and is designed to create cosmetic color without intentional sun or tanning-bed exposure. Learn more on our Organic Spray Tanning page.

Will I turn orange?

Our solutions and automated Opulence Sunless booth are designed to produce a natural-looking result when the correct solution, depth, preparation, and rinse timing are used. Skin chemistry and aftercare can influence the final color, so following the preparation and rinse instructions matters. We help you choose the appropriate option rather than using one formula for everyone.

What is the difference between Rapid and Classic spray tan?

Classic solution develops over approximately eight hours before the first rinse. Rapid solution is designed for an earlier rinse, usually within two to four hours depending on the desired depth and the instructions provided at your appointment. Rapid does not necessarily mean the color appears instantly; development continues after the rinse. Choose Rapid when schedule flexibility matters and Classic when an overnight or longer development window is convenient.

How long will my tan last?

Most spray tans remain visible for about five to seven days. Longevity varies with skin preparation, shower habits, sweating, swimming, exfoliation, and moisturizer use. Gentle cleansing and daily moisturizing support a more even fade. Tan-safe aftercare products are available in the studio.

How should I prepare for my spray tan?

Exfoliate before the appointment, paying extra attention to dry areas such as elbows, knees, ankles, and wrists. Shave or wax at least 24 hours beforehand when possible. Arrive with clean, dry skin and avoid lotion, oil, deodorant, perfume, and makeup unless we tell you otherwise. Wear loose, dark clothing and open or loose-fitting footwear afterward.

What is the spray tan aftercare routine?

Keep the developing tan dry and avoid sweating, tight clothing, and friction until your instructed rinse time. The first shower should be a brief rinse with lukewarm water; do not scrub, exfoliate, or use a heavy cleanser during that first rinse. Pat dry and begin moisturizing after the color has developed. Your bronzer may rinse away while the DHA-based color remains and continues developing.

Can I exercise after a spray tan?

Wait until after the first rinse and, ideally, until the tan has fully developed before exercising. Sweat, tight workout clothing, and repeated friction can create uneven areas during development. Afterward, exercise is fine, but frequent sweating and showering may shorten the life of the tan.

Can I shave after a spray tan?

Yes, but shaving exfoliates the skin and may shorten the tan. Whenever possible, shave before your appointment. If you need to shave afterward, wait until the tan has developed, use a fresh razor with a gentle shave product, avoid repeated passes, and moisturize when finished.

How long does the spray tan appointment take?

Plan for approximately 10 to 15 minutes for the booth session and instructions. First-time clients may need a few extra minutes so we can review positions, barrier cream, hair protection, sticky feet, drying, and rinse timing.

Studio Overview and Frequently Asked Questions

Understanding Red Light Therapy Wavelengths

Different wavelengths of red and near-infrared light reach different depths in the body. Our Merican bed delivers five wavelengths — 633, 660, 810, 850, and 940 nanometers — so sessions can address both surface-level and deeper tissue layers in one setup.

What does red light therapy do?

Red and near-infrared light are absorbed by light-sensitive structures in cells and may influence cellular energy signaling, circulation, tissue recovery, and skin-related processes. Research is promising across several applications, but results vary by wavelength, dose, frequency, and individual factors. At Naturally Bronzed, red light therapy is offered as a non-invasive wellness and recovery service—not as a diagnosis or treatment for disease. Read our Red Light Therapy guide for a deeper explanation.

What bed do you use and why does it matter?

We use a professional Merican full-body red light bed that delivers five wavelengths: 633, 660, 810, 850, and 940 nanometers. The combination provides red and near-infrared coverage from panels above and below the body. Equipment matters because wavelength, irradiance, distance, session duration, and body coverage all affect the light dose; more time is not automatically better.

How long is a red light session?

Most sessions are 15 or 30 minutes. A 15-minute session is the usual starting point and works well for consistency. A longer session may be chosen based on the intended routine and the total light exposure, but it is not automatically more effective. We help new clients begin conservatively and avoid unnecessary overexposure.

Is red light therapy safe?

Red light therapy is non-invasive and does not use ultraviolet light. It is generally well tolerated when used appropriately, but temporary warmth, eye sensitivity, headache, or skin response can occur. Use the provided eye protection and speak with a licensed healthcare professional before participating if you have a light-sensitive condition, take photosensitizing medication, are pregnant, or have concerns about a recent procedure.

Should I remove makeup before red light therapy?

Clean, bare skin is preferred because makeup, sunscreen, and tinted products may reflect or block some light. Removing makeup also keeps the treatment surface cleaner. A small amount of simple, non-occlusive skincare is unlikely to ruin a session, but arriving with product-free skin creates the most consistent setup.

Should I apply lotion before red light therapy?

Avoid heavy lotions, oils, sunscreen, or products containing photosensitizing ingredients immediately before the session. Clean, dry skin is the simplest approach. Apply your normal moisturizer afterward unless your dermatologist or product instructions say otherwise.

What should I wear during red light therapy?

Expose the areas you want the light to reach while wearing whatever makes you comfortable. Many clients wear underwear, shorts, or a swimsuit. Fabric blocks much of the light, so covered areas receive less exposure. Sessions take place in a private, climate-controlled room, and protective eyewear is provided.

How often should I use red light therapy?

Consistency matters more than trying to fit in an unusually long session. Many wellness routines begin with three to five shorter sessions per week for several weeks, then adjust based on goals, schedule, and response. There is no universal protocol for every outcome. Our Red Glow membership is intended for clients who already know they want frequent 15-minute sessions.

Full-Spectrum Infrared Sauna

What is the difference between infrared and traditional sauna?

Traditional saunas primarily heat the air, while infrared saunas use radiant energy to warm the body and surrounding surfaces at a lower air temperature. Both can produce sweating and a relaxing heat experience. Many people find infrared heat easier to tolerate, but comfort is individual. Our Infrared Sauna guide explains near-, mid-, and far-infrared wavelengths in more detail.

What are the benefits of infrared sauna?

Clients commonly use infrared sauna for relaxation, temporary muscle comfort, post-exercise recovery, circulation support, and a controlled sweating experience. Evidence varies by outcome, and sweating should not be described as a substitute for the liver, kidneys, hydration, medical care, or treatment of illness. The most dependable benefit is often the quiet, heat-based recovery ritual itself.

What is the Clearlight Sanctuary Y?

The Clearlight Sanctuary Y is a spacious full-spectrum infrared sauna with removable benches. The “Y” refers to its yoga-friendly layout, which allows additional floor space when the benches are removed. At Naturally Bronzed, it can be used for a seated sauna session, a private couples session, or a gentle personal movement practice when scheduled appropriately.

What should I wear in the infrared sauna?

Wear a swimsuit, lightweight workout clothing, or another comfortable option that allows heat to reach the skin. Towels are provided. Avoid heavy lotions and oils before the session because they can feel uncomfortable as you sweat and may transfer to the wood or towels.

How hot does the sauna get?

The sauna can be adjusted up to approximately 170°F, but most sessions do not need to begin at the maximum temperature. Infrared heat can feel intense even when the air temperature is lower than a traditional sauna. We recommend beginning at a comfortable setting, hydrating, and leaving the sauna if you feel dizzy, nauseated, unwell, or unusually fatigued.

Can I bring my phone into the sauna?

We recommend placing your phone in the built-in heat-resistant storage box rather than exposing it directly to prolonged heat and humidity. Electronics can overheat, shut down, or experience shortened battery life in hot environments. The box keeps your phone nearby and accessible without leaving it on the bench or floor.

Can I listen to music during my sauna session?

Yes. You may use the sauna audio system or play music from your phone while it remains protected in the heat-resistant storage box. Keep the volume at a level that still allows you to hear instructions or respond if someone checks on you.

Can I wear earbuds in the sauna?

Earbuds are not recommended. Sweat and heat can affect electronics, create hygiene concerns, and make earbuds uncomfortable or slippery. The sauna audio system is the safer, more comfortable option for music or guided relaxation.

Can couples use the sauna together?

Yes. The Sanctuary Y is spacious enough for two people, and couples often book together. Each person should be comfortable with the selected temperature and session length, and either person should leave early if needed. Please book the appropriate session so we can prepare the sauna and towels for both guests.

Can I use the sauna before or after a spray tan?

Schedule sauna before your spray tan, not during the tan-development window. Heat, sweat, water, and friction can interfere with developing color. After the first rinse, sauna use may still make the tan fade faster, so waiting at least 24 hours and moisturizing afterward is the better approach.

Molecular Hydrogen & Hydrogen Water

What is molecular hydrogen inhalation?

Molecular hydrogen inhalation uses a nasal cannula to deliver a controlled flow of hydrogen-containing gas while you relax. Hydrogen is being studied for its interaction with oxidative-stress and cell-signaling pathways, but research is still developing and the service should not be presented as a cure or replacement for medical treatment. Sessions at Naturally Bronzed are designed as calm, non-invasive wellness experiences. Explore the science and equipment on our Molecular Hydrogen page.

What does a hydrogen inhalation session feel like?

Most people do not feel a dramatic sensation. You sit or recline, place the lightweight cannula beneath your nose, breathe normally, and relax for the scheduled time. The gas is colorless and has no noticeable taste or odor. Some clients read, work quietly, meditate, or pair the session with compression therapy.

What do people use molecular hydrogen for?

Clients are generally interested in molecular hydrogen for recovery, exercise support, fatigue management, healthy-aging routines, and oxidative-stress research. Those are areas of scientific interest, not guaranteed outcomes. We explain what is known, what remains uncertain, and how the service may fit alongside—not replace—sleep, nutrition, movement, and appropriate healthcare.

Is molecular hydrogen inhalation safe?

Molecular hydrogen has been studied in a range of human and laboratory settings and is generally described as well tolerated at appropriate concentrations. That does not make every protocol appropriate for every person. Speak with your licensed healthcare professional before use when you have a significant medical condition, use oxygen or respiratory equipment, are pregnant, or have questions about compatibility with treatment.

What is hydrogen water?

Hydrogen water is water containing dissolved molecular hydrogen gas. It is different from alkaline water and does not mean the water molecule itself has been changed. Because dissolved hydrogen gradually escapes after production, concentration, container, temperature, and time all matter. We prepare hydrogen-infused water fresh in the studio and recommend drinking it soon after opening.

What is the difference between hydrogen water and inhalation?

Hydrogen water delivers a limited amount of dissolved H₂ through drinking, while inhalation provides continuous exposure during a scheduled session through the lungs. They are different delivery methods, and neither should be described as universally stronger or better for every goal. Some clients use studio inhalation for longer sessions and hydrogen water for convenient daily use.

Can molecular hydrogen support eye comfort?

Early research on molecular hydrogen and the ocular surface is promising but still limited, and it does not support hydrogen as a treatment for any diagnosed eye disease. For clients interested in eye-focused sessions, we offer a hydrogen eye goggle accessory that connects to the same inhalation system used for nasal delivery. Read our full breakdown in Molecular Hydrogen and Eye Comfort.

How often should I use molecular hydrogen?

There is no universally accepted wellness schedule. Some clients use inhalation once or twice per week, while others choose more frequent short-term routines based on goals and professional guidance. Hydrogen water is often used more regularly because it is easy to incorporate. We recommend starting with a manageable schedule and evaluating consistency, cost, and how the routine fits your broader wellness plan.

What is the Echo Flask?

The Echo Flask is a 12-ounce portable SPE/PEM hydrogen-water generator with a rechargeable battery and a five-year manufacturer warranty. It is intended to produce hydrogen-rich water shortly before drinking, which helps reduce the time available for dissolved hydrogen to escape. Naturally Bronzed is an authorized Echo Water dealer. View the Echo Flask online.

Compression, Kineon & Vagus Nerve Reset

What is NormaTec compression therapy?

NormaTec uses air-filled leg or hip attachments that inflate and release in a programmed sequence. The pressure creates a massage-like experience that many clients use after exercise, travel, prolonged standing, or a demanding week. The intensity is adjustable, and you remain seated or reclined throughout the session. Learn more through our Compression Therapy overview.

What does Kineon MOVE+ targeted joint therapy feel like?

Kineon MOVE+ combines red and near-infrared light with a wearable design that positions the light close to a specific joint or muscle area. The session is quiet and generally produces little or no heat. It is intended for targeted wellness and recovery support, not for diagnosing or treating an injury. Visit our Kineon MOVE+ page for supported areas and session details.

What is a vagus nerve reset session?

Our vagus nerve reset session uses the Pulsetto device to provide gentle, non-invasive stimulation at the side of the neck while you relax. Clients typically choose it as part of a calming routine, breathwork practice, or transition out of a stressful day. It is not psychotherapy or medical treatment. People with implanted electronic devices, heart-rhythm concerns, pregnancy, or other relevant conditions should obtain professional guidance before use.

Can I combine compression with hydrogen or red light?

Yes, when scheduling and equipment availability allow. Hydrogen inhalation and compression are an especially convenient pairing because both can be used while seated. Red light and compression are usually completed sequentially. We will help you plan the order and total visit length so the experience remains comfortable rather than rushed.

Memberships & Pricing

Which membership is right for me?

Choose the membership that matches the service you will realistically use. Red Glow is for frequent 15-minute red light sessions. Sweat Glow is for regular 30-minute infrared sauna sessions. The All Access Wellness Membership is designed for clients who want broader access to spray tanning, red light, infrared sauna, compression, and the included vagus nerve reset benefit. Review the current inclusions and terms on our Memberships page before enrolling.

Do I need a membership to visit?

No. Single sessions are available, and there is no requirement to join after your first appointment. Memberships are most useful when you have already identified a service you enjoy and want a consistent monthly routine.

What memberships do you offer?

Naturally Bronzed currently offers Red Glow Unlimited for 15-minute red light therapy, Sweat Glow Unlimited for 30-minute infrared sauna, and the $249 All Access Wellness Membership for a broader mix of included studio services. Each membership has its own inclusions and terms, so use the Memberships page as the source of truth for current pricing and benefits.

Are there session limits on memberships?

Red Glow and Sweat Glow are structured as unlimited access to their included session format, subject to booking availability, safe-use guidance, and the membership terms. “Unlimited” should not be interpreted as a recommendation to use a modality excessively. The most useful schedule is the one that is consistent, appropriate, and sustainable.

Can I upgrade my membership?

Yes. Speak with us in the studio to review available upgrades and how the change affects your billing date and commitment period. Downgrades and cancellations remain subject to the terms of your current agreement.

How do I cancel my membership?

Memberships require a three-month minimum commitment and 30 days written notice to cancel after the initial commitment period. Contact the studio directly so we can confirm the request, effective date, and any remaining scheduled billing.
