The story behind
every recommendation.

Naturally Bronzed is not simply a collection of wellness technologies. It is a reflection of the life we strive to live ourselves—curious, active, grateful, and intentional about caring for our health while we are still healthy enough to enjoy the life we are building.

Where Our Story Began

We first met in Jerusalem in 1984 while attending high school. Long before Naturally Bronzed, before careers, families, responsibilities, and everything life would ask of us, we were two young people who loved being outdoors, hiking, moving, exploring nature, and imagining what the future might hold.

We had a deep connection and were inseparable. What we shared became one of those rare first loves that leaves a lasting mark, even when life carries two people in different directions.

Chapter Two

Life Took Us in Different Directions

What followed were decades apart. We each built families, careers, and lives we are deeply grateful for. Although our paths separated for many years, the respect and care we shared for one another never truly disappeared.

Sandra remained on Long Island, where she raised five children and built a life centered on family, movement, personal growth, and healthy living. Her experience as a mother and cancer survivor deepened her appreciation for resilience, consistency, self-care, and the importance of supporting your health through every season of life.

Ed is a proud U.S. Army combat veteran who built a long career in technology before co-founding Naturally Bronzed with Sandra. He is the proud father of three children, including one who is also a veteran and another who currently serves on active duty in the United States Air Force. Watching his father face serious health challenges changed the way he thought about prevention, aging, and advocacy. Years later, losing his wife, Rae, deepened that perspective and reinforced how precious health, time, and the people we love truly are.

Our journeys were different, but both taught us that wellness is not about perfection or fear. It is about paying attention, asking better questions, and caring for your health while you are still able to enjoy the life you are building.

“Most people don’t think about their health until they’re fighting for it. We think the best self-care is paying attention before you have to. The body has a remarkable capacity to respond when you do.

Chapter Three · 2023

When Our Paths Crossed Again

Sandra had rediscovered her teenage diary a year before we reconnected, Ed’s letter still tucked inside — unopened. In 2023, we read it together for the first time in 38 years. One line jumped off the page. We just didn’t know yet what it was about to lead to.

“The timing may not be right for us now... but if I have to wait thirty years for you, I will.”— Ed, 1985

Reading those words together nearly four decades later was not about predicting the future. It was a quiet reminder that some chapters of life can remain unfinished until the time is finally right.

As we became part of each other’s lives again, we recognized that our separate experiences had led us toward many of the same values: gratitude, movement, recovery, curiosity, education, compassion, and a desire to help others care for themselves more intentionally.

Life had given us a rare gift: another chapter together.
We wanted to use it well.

Chapter Four

Why Naturally Bronzed Exists

Naturally Bronzed was not created because we simply wanted another business. It grew from two lives shaped by family, caregiving, illness, loss, recovery, healthy living, and the belief that people deserve better access to clear, responsible wellness education.

We wanted to create the kind of studio we wished had existed throughout our own journeys: a private, welcoming place where people could explore premium, non-invasive wellness technologies without feeling rushed, intimidated, or pressured.

Our experiences did not give us all the answers. They gave us a responsibility to remain curious, examine the evidence, explain what is known and what is still being studied, and help each person make decisions that feel appropriate for their own life.

Naturally Bronzed became our way of turning gratitude into contribution. Every client who leaves feeling more informed, more supported, or more confident about caring for their health reminds us why this work matters.

Our Journey to Wellness

Behind every service at Naturally Bronzed are two people whose own paths — through caregiving, resilience, and years of curiosity about wellness — shaped why this studio exists. Meet Sandra and Ed.

A Personal Note

Thank You for Learning Our Story

If our story has taught us anything, it's that you don't get to choose when health becomes personal. It found Sandra during treatment. It found Ed watching his father decline, and again when he lost his wife, Rae. Neither of us set out to build a wellness studio — life made the case for one long before we opened these doors.

What we've learned, from two very different directions, is that caring for yourself isn't about getting everything right. It's about paying attention early enough that you still have the choice.

Whether you come to Naturally Bronzed to recover from training, to unwind, to age well, or simply because you're curious, our hope is that you leave with better questions than you arrived with — and a little more confidence in the answers.

We appreciate you letting us be part of that.

“We didn’t build Naturally Bronzed to convince people to live differently. We built it to share the lifestyle that has enriched our own lives.”
